Located in the Mediterranean Sea, this small Spanish island is known for white, sandy beaches and live-ly nightlife. On a single day in late May, DigitalGlobe captured this image along with the entire island using Precision Aerial imagery. Precision Aerial delivers the industry’s fi rst high-quality, wall-to-wall collection of 30cm natural color (RGB) and 60cm color infrared (CIR) aerial orthomosaics covering the contiguous United States and Western Europe; with 15cm natural color and 30cm color infrared in Germany. Through agreements with Microsoft™, premium quality imagery is being acquired exclusively with UltraCamG® digital im-aging technology to provide comprehensive coverage with industry-leading accuracy, quality and aesthetics. DigitalGlobe’s aim is to have complete coverage of the United States and Western Europe, leaving no stone (or island, such as Ibi-za) unturned. Because Precision Aerial imagery is collected using a common sensor and platform at uniform resolution with standard specifi cations, DigitalGlobe can provide consistent country and re-gional coverage, making easier integration and analysis possible. Initial coverage of the U.S. and Western Europe (over 10 million km2) will be completed by 2012.
