Resource Guide From the Editor The Chicagoland region is one of the world’s major economic centers, and that applies to the gardening world as well. From southern Wisconsin through northern Illinois and north-western Indiana to southwestern Michigan, this area is rich with beautiful gardens (public and private), plus the garden centers, design-ers and landscape contractors that can turn your most enchanting dreams into reality. Where are these magical emporiums? Well may you ask. They can be found throughout the region, and all it takes to turn any of them into a destination for a little shopping trip is some handy dandy directions, a map and some basic information about what they have to offer. Hence: our annual Resource Guide. We began publishing this bonus to our March/April issue several years ago, and it remains an invaluable source of information for anyone as smitten by gardening as we are. We list garden centers, of course, but we also devote sections to firms offering landscape services, hardscapes, tools and supplies, seeds and pond installation. In addition we list arboretums, florists, growers, plant associations and places to go for further education. Just about anything you could ask for – right at your fingertips. 2015 Contents 4 Your Garden Trip Planner 14 Garden Centers Garden Centers, Nurseries & Greenhouses 31 Order Direct Catalog and Online 33 Landscape Landscape Design & Installation Services 36 Aquatic / Pond 37 Hardscapes Structures, Greenhouses, Gazebos, Sunrooms, Fences, Arbors, Pavers & Decks 38 Landscape Services Paving, Tree Services, Irrigation Systems, Lighting Contractors & Lawn Maintenance 39 Gifts & Accessories Antiques, Containers, Fountains, Statuary, Trellises & Bird Feeders 43 Tools, Supplies & Seeds Soil, Fertilizers, Mulch & Compost, Power Equipment & Gardening Tools 44 Arboretums Arboretums & Public Display Gardens 47 Florists 48 Growers 50 Education Books, Publication & Classes 51 Associations Societies & Clubs / Visit chicagolandgardening.com for the Digital Edition , which includes links to your favorite sources for gardening information!
