It didn’t take long for the first-annual “Innovation Exposition” at Hope to sign up enough presenters to fill the upper level of the Richard and Helen DeVos Fieldhouse on Thursday, Aug. 22. Organized as part of the Pre-College Conference for faculty that precedes the start of the school year, the event featured faculty and students from nearly every academic department discussing collaborative research, courses, off-campus programs, uses of technology in teaching, linkages between faith and scholarship and more. The exposition was designed to provide an opportunity for faculty from across campus to share successful strategies and perhaps brainstorm and find inspiration for some new ideas, collegiality at its best, in the service of improving already-outstanding teaching. More than 200 faculty attended. Classnotes News of the alumni family. A Closing Look A gathering of presidents. Printed using soy-based inks. June 2012 October 2013 3
